Andy and Betty are not role models. They're not even human. They're cartoons. Some of things they do would cause a real person to get annoyed, confused, and possibly arrested.

Andy and Betty are not real. They are sketched people completely made up by some guy who stole the Moon.

Andy and Betty are insincere, unpleasant, thoughtless, insular and self-destructive characters. But for some reason they make us laugh.
